CARLO Petrini, Slow Food’s founder and international president, will speak at Sydney Opera House on Sunday 18 October 2009 at 2pm, a highlight event of the Sydney International Food Festival. Petrini will discuss Slow Food’s approach to agriculture, food production and gastronomy, based on a concept of food quality defined by three interconnected principles: good, clean and fair, which he explains as follows: ‘Slow Food believes that the food we eat should taste good; that it should be produced in a clean way that does not harm the environment, animal welfare or our health; and that food producers should receive fair compensation for their work.’ More info at: http://bit.ly/2HLA2v
